    Clutch MC Replacement (at a Shop)

    Hello All,

    Basically, the mechanics around my town are jerks and won't answer my question. Essentially, I need to know the labor estimation on a job like this, since I can't for the life of me manage to undo the CMC from the hose that connects it to the fluid reservoir, which is where I believe my system to be leaking from. I'm guessing like an hour and a half?

          Man, what happened to that plastic elbow. It used to be $1.60, now it's like $5!

            That plastic elbow is essentially the only thing holding me up. That is what's broken and my hands are too big and there is too little leverage space for me to rip it out.

            Although it could be something else. It drips a when I release the clutch, yet the brake fluid level will go really low, but the clutch still functions. This tells me its pulling in fluid, but its seeping out from that spoot as I let the clutch back in. Plus, the hose is all wet at that elbow piece.

              Have you gotten the blue silicon hose off the M/C already?

              I will say this: the Clutch M/C is an all around HORRIBLE job. I just got done replacing the slave, and but the Master is 10x worse. The bracket for the clutch switch completely blocks access to the Master, and blue Feed hose is a pain to get off.

                honestly, i didn't find it that hard to get it out or to put it back in. I ordered some new hose, and new lines for the setup. sure it's a little odd to get to the two bracket bolts, but it's not impossible.

                  The feed hose is a pain to get off. I hate it.

                  I will probably just take it to a shop at this point. Too busy with schoolwork to fuck with it.
