shift linkage quession

I just changed all the shift arm bushing on my car and i still have no reverse. My mechanic says that it is the linkage over the tranny in the from the front im not sure. Has any one out there done this job and know the the parts i need? part numbers can help too if so thanks.

By all of the bushing do you mean that you've replaced 2, 8, & 13 as shown on http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...74&hg=25&fg=05
