    m20 5 speed conversion question

I've wrapped up my 5 speed swap a couple months ago, and finally finished all electrical work and installed the battery. Now I am finding out that I still don't have reverse lights. I tried searching for the thread, but to no avail. I did fiddle around with the harness spliceage, under the shift boot area, and was pretty sure I got that right. I thought that those reverse switches on getrag 260's were bulletproof, maybe it is bad...

Where is a good write up for the 5 speed swap? Need one with detail as most of the links out there have just a few pictures and not much in the way of step -by - step.

go to E30 tech, I think in their tranny section there is a write-up by "promotor", his wiring is what I used to get my car moving and rear lights working, but I'm gonna try and make the cruise control work.

Making the cruise control work, assuming that you've defeated the Park/Neutral safety is simply a matter of locating the connector for the clutch switch, which will have a jumper installed, and installing a clutch switch.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

correct. get an 325i flywheel, or even better a grey-market 323i flywheel.

This is proToMor btw (Everyone thinks its promotor...) aka yoshi

The big diff is that early model and late models have different drive tunnels so you have to get the right CSB for your car. In DJ's case, he has to buy a late model CSB because his donor is early model.

I got banned from E30Tech so I moved all my stuff out of there. Heres the new link http://www.e30performance.info/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=231

                  Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!
