5 speed swap, drive shaft questions...

My search didn't reveal anything :( I will be doing a 5 speed swap in my '92 325ic and wondered if the auto driveshaft is a similar legnth to the 5 speed, also, do the m42 5 speed cars use the same driveshaft as the M20 cars? I will be using parts from my '88 325is for now, then later turn the 325is into a club racer, so I'll need another shaft for that.

I never sell anything, except once I sold an M20, 5 speed, and driveshaft I now need :(

    Thanks.

This place is like catholic school, 2/3 of the students smoke weed on a daily basis, but the faculty seems to convince the outside world that drugs are just in the other schools, the resident pot dealer thinks he's cool because he has the originality to call anyone he doesn't like a homosexual, and most of the little children follow him like sheep, then there's the few with brains, you hardly ever hear from them, perhaps don't even know they exist, but they get all the sh!t done.

It blows the goat but at least the goat is happy I have time, first I need to rebuild some engines, it seems every M20 I have contains a blown head gasket

        Specifically you'll need a d-shaft from an M20 "i" 5-spd car .
Or a late Eta d-shaft that uses the smaller guibo.

Also make sure you order a new CSB for the vert as the donor d-shaft could be from an early car and may have a the larger CSB that won't fit .
