output shaft seal, on too far?

I was replacing the transmission output shaft seal on the 325is last night and, somehow or another, the seal ended up all most all the way in.
It's not cocked but I'm worried that it won't seal and I really, really do not want to find that out after it's all back together.

Should I order and install another seal, or should it be OK?
