driveshaft wtf?

ok i have a what appears to be a 320i from germany. it has been imported here .. has the tag and everything.. but anyways i broke the front driveshaft sidestepping the clutch..lol . but i have tried and tried to replace it and i cant find anything to fit it ... i was just wanting to know how i would know what driveshaft i would need to fix this.. every one (4 now) of the front shafts i find the carrier bearing is in the wrong place either too long or too short.. i need some help with this problem .. its getting crazy.... thanks guys

it says its a 85 but the vin dont and its a 3.2liter engine and i dont know
the vin # is WBAAD310101406661

ok looked up the vin on realoem.com and it says its a 84 320i sedan 5 spd.

If you've got a 3.2, that means motor swap, which means you need to tell what motor you have.

i know the tag when the car was imported says 3.2 on it but the vin comes up just m20 dont know if it is a 2.5 or 2.0 or what how can i tell?
