will e34 or e36 ring and pinion work in an e30 diff housing?

i am planning to do a 24v swap in my 325ix. i want to change the front diff to one with a better 24v ratio than 3.91 and also something stronger than the stock version. i have the opportunity to buy a euro 525ix front diff, but the problem is that the ratio is 3.38 and that is really an odd ball. obviously, i need to match the rear. i am not aware of any e30 ring and pinion sets of that number.

at this point, there are two options that i am aware of for 3.38: an auto m3 diff from a 96 to 99(a pricey proposition at best), or i can buy the matching rear diff from the 525ix, but it would have to be shipped from germany with the oil pan and front diff.

i know that neither of these rear diffs will bolt into my e30. what i want to find out is can i take the ring and pinion out of an e36 or e34 diff and use it in my e30 housing.
