    Wont Go Into Gear!!!

i just bought my car a half a year ago and i'm having problems going into gear. The guy who sold me the car says it has a NEW clutch and redline fluid in it. since than i've put a new clutch Master and Slave trying to fix possible problems. Car shifts fine while driving. when stopped have an extremely hard time putting into first!!! Somebody help before i have to do a tranny swap, please!

you most likely have a broken selector rod or one that is about to break. it has a hard time going into gear because there is a lot of leverage putting pressure on the selector rod. get under there and check it out. if that isnt the problem then you might want to check all your shift linkage and replace as needed.

Check it when the engine isn't running compared to when it is.

If it goes in fine with the engine off I can almost 100% guarantee this:

It is more likely a draging clutch or sticky pilot bearing than a selector shaft, syncro hub or fork.
