Which CSB?

I'm preparing to do a manual tranny swap in my 88 325i vert and am working to assemble all of the parts I'l need. The donor tranny and driveshaft are from an '86, and I need to know if I should get a new CSB to fit the '88 chassis or do I need one to fit the '86 drive shaft...or are they the same? I've reading there are differences in years for the CSB, so any help would really be great. Thanks.

Use the center support bearing assy that matches your car. 84-87 and 88-91 are the differences.
