    Broken 3.73 Diff (second time)

    Hi,
I broke my diff for the second time now in 3 weeks while drifting and I don't know what to do.
The car still rides but every time I go through a tight corner on low speed or trying to park it feels like a wheel is locking and something is hammering my rear subframe .
Is there a way to make the diff stronger while rebuilding it ?
I'm desperate to find a solution...

What kind of diff? Open or LSD?

If you're drifting I would be using a welded open.A buddy of mine swaps his welded diff in before each event and it's held up for a couple years of abuse now.

It's an LSD that come stock on the 325i.
I'm worried about welding my diff because it's also my daily and I think that it could be inconvenient in the city.
Just trying to get a stronger LSD when rebuilding it.
welding it would be my last solution

Hi, I finally bought a new differential with 4 clutch plates and will be testing it tomorrow.

Did you find out what was wrong with the last one?

No but I will be taking it to a specialist when I'll have time to inspect it and maybe rebuild it (cs we never know)...
