318is: Extremely loud noise from driveshaft/rear end

    Hello all,

Haven't had a chance to tear into my e30 yet but i'm guessing the center bearing or U joint is really bad or its something worse. Maybe someone who's had similiar issues can check out my vid below and chime in. The most i've had a chance to do is jack her up and give the rear wheels a spin. There is a slight clunking sound when I hand spin the wheels, which becomes EXTREMELY obnoxious and loud when driving.

    Any help would be appreciated.

You need to get under the car. My guess, center bearing. Stop driving it until you get it sorted.

It's parked until I can get under there. I'm seeing vids of crapped out u joints with the same sound. Hoping to get under it to confirm soon.
