I need to change the transmission oil for an AutoX next week.
The car is a 325iS built in April of 1988, 6-cyl., 5-spd.
There is a label on top of the bell housing, but it is faded, peeling and ready to fall off. I can’t reach it to unfurl it, but if I had to guess, I would say it used to be black. The drain plug is an internal hex and the number on the transmission looks something like HC 057123.
I don’t have immediate access to Redline or Royal Purple. What can I put in this thing that is available at your average Autozone, NAPA or Advance?
