Just curious, because if I can't, no M60 for me. :)

Yup, all can still be used... The only really close accessory is the alternator. BTW, I have an extra set of exhaust manifolds you need to do the swap for sale, if you're interested...

E38, E39 and X5 4.4 manifolds are all the same. Drivers side is 4 into 1 and passenger side is 4 into 2 into 1. These are the same ones I used, mine came from an E39 540, these are from an E38 740iL. I can snap a pic or 2 if you're interested... $150 shipped to you. LMK...

PM me some pics. Suppose you don't want to modify them for me? :)

It's the one thing I'm not comfortable doing.

I could modify them, but when I did mine, I had the motor in place and modified them around everything they had to clear. I could make them like mine, but it doesn't guarantee they will fit for yours. Does that make sense? I'll get some pictures of the ones I have for sale and mine next to them, so you can see how I did them. Not saying I won't modify them for you, I would just hate for them to not fit exactly based on where you situate your motor, since the motor orientation can be moved around a bit.

                Here's some pics...

The modified ones are in the middle, untouched ones on the outside...

                Modified on the bottom...

                Again, modified on the bottom...

At least a couple of hours of work to add the flanges and get them in the right orientation. I'd want $350 shipped for them modified including the 2.5" collectors and flanges.

Hmm that's about as simple as I've seen. The build threads I looked at on various euro E30 forums made it look a lot more complex than you did. Sending you a PM shortly.

I've seen most of those as well and I think where they all made it more difficult than it needs to be is that they aren't American, haha. No offense to the Europeans meant, though. What I mean by that is most all of us car guys in America have grown up seeing bolt-on collectors at the end of headers. I know I did. That stuff is readily available here in the States, whereas it may not be so prevalent in Europe. When I was looking at how I was going to do the exhaust system, it was a given I'd use a reducer collector at the end of the manifolds to start the system. Just kind of ingrained into my head, I guess. I never even thought about it any other way. Most all of the Euro builds I've seen don't have a collector at the manifolds and they're trying to tie in the exhaust at some very funky angles and sizes/shapes. Guess I had the luck of geography helping me along, lol!
