I think there are some in the build thread, but remember, my car has a full cage, integrated into the structure of the car and a dashbar. Mine is mounted to a custom bracket which is welded to the dashbar, the firewall and the steering column mount. The top of the pedal assembly has four threaded posts cast into it and I made yet another plate bracket which is bolted to the pedal assembly and bolted to the overhang of the firewall. Plenty of reinforcement, but much more involved than most want to get into. That's why that plate setup that Justin linked us to is so nice... it's way less involved and doesn't require a cage and dashbar to tie it into.
I have to do some brake system work over the weekend and I'll get you some more pictures then. For now, look back into my build thread, there should be some...

Trying to confirm with the designer with what specific pedal set he tested / results etc.Leave a comment:

I should have an answer tomorrow as far as the CAD drawings go. I'll take these to my machinist buddy and see what he says. I will try to stay as close to the original price as I can. As everyone knows small run machined/ welded/ fabricated stuff ain't cheap!Leave a comment:

LOL ^ . That was actually (similar) question that popped in my mind on the way to work this AM. I want to know what this will do to the relative positioning of the gas pedal vs. brake/clutch.Leave a comment:

Would this be the easiest method to adjust pedal position for larger footed drivers or is this gonna bring the pedals further into the footwell in relation to the seat? With this and modified seat rails and an extended steering wheel hub I think I might fit well enough to actually drive my car.Leave a comment:

I would, I should know soon if these will work for me or not.I emailed back and forth with the guy selling the pedal brackets. Unfortunately he had some sort of accident that is preventing him from fabricating. He offered the plans for sale but I was no where near needing them at the time. Now that my e30 is almost done at the body shop I am considering buying the plans from him and maybe making a few runs. Any interest?Leave a comment:

Opps, your right. On a 15" rim with 205/55/15 tires we are talking 15"+8.86" = ~23.86"
On a 14" rim with 195/65/14 we are talking 14+5"+5" =~24"
So we can generalize and use 24".Leave a comment:

Hey guys take a look at this:
Assuming:
20" tire diameter (rim+tire)
You may want to double check your math on the tire diameter. Unless of course you are running rubber bands on a 13" wheel (which don't fit over E30 front brakes anyway)Leave a comment:

Hey guys take a look at this:
Assuming:
3000lb total weight
1500lb front 1500 rear (50/50 dist)
15" CG (complete guess, maybe someone can clarify)
101.2" wheelbase
1.2G Max braking force
20" tire diameter (rim+tire)
With 6.2:1 ratio
.625 Front master cylinder
.625 Rear master cylinder
Stock caliper (1.9" front 1.3" rear)
Stock rotors (~11" front ~10" back) confirm?
Front and rear pad Radial height (left as 1.8 because im unsure)
.45 front and rear brake pad CF
That means to generate the 2210 lb/ft front and 789lb/ft rear required you could do that with only 56lb of Leg input force. Consider most sedans are ~40 and race cars are 80. That seems daily-able.
If we can refine the inputs maybe we could get an even clearer picture.Leave a comment:

I have the newest Wilwood, P/N 340-11299... honestly, I never even looked at anything by Tilton. No reason, other than this Wilwood piece filled all of my requirements and was priced right. I also bought the Wilwood proportioning valve, P/N 260-11179 and still may get the remote balance bar adjuster, just to have it. Nice thing is, you can configure the setup to whatever setup you're running and fine tune the shit out of it. Run a bigger bore MC for fronts, smaller for rears, smallest for clutch, tune the rears with the prop valve and use the balance bar for changing track conditions, if allowed, lol! Pretty slick stuff... I can't wait to get to fiddle with it... once the car is done... if it ever gets done, lol!
