Hey man, I met you at the Dragon once. I've seen photos and videos of the rebuild on EAG's facebook page. Glad it's coming back together so nicely.

I might be pulling the trigger on an M62 this week myself :D

So if this happened at night, did the car sit underwater all night? because the pics are taken in daylight of the car under water.
About 12 hours under water until I was able to find a tow truck that would pull it out. Within 24 hours of being out of the water everything was drained and rust prevented. (WD40 and kerosene) Maggots form quickly too. ;)

My standard responses are: I washed my car throughly, I went fishing, or took my car swimming.

I remember seeing this car for sale. Nice buy!

Holy shit, glad you're alive man. Live and learn I suppose. Glad that you got the car running again instead of ditching it!

How about you assume what happened, to yourself, and leave me to actually know what happened.

Yes the brake setup is the same and works extremely well.

Glad to hear you are OK but you need to accept the real reason you ended up in the water is because you were speeding.
    True story.

Surprised to see its going to live again. Congrats on that.
Are you still using that crazy intricate brake bellcrank/lever/pivot set-up the OP came up with?

I was pulling out to pass a car (in a passing zone) on a two lane road. As I started to go by them the car swerved towards me and instead of hitting them I swerved to the left. Trying to use the run off around the road to slow down and stop without an accident. I hit the only location that had water on that side of the road within the past 5 miles. I almost had it stopped and then the car fell into the water side first. I scrambled out the window and swam to shore. Once I went up the embankment nobody was around. I waited until the next car came by and flagged them down to call the police. Almost forgot all of this was at night and I have a large dislike for water.

I am happy to be alive and was really happy that my motor survived so I can have a fun build like this.

Nice car, but I gotta ask... how did it end up in a pond?

    started a topic My E30 M60

    My E30 M60

Well I thought I would introduce myself and show how robust the M60 really is. First off I didn't build the car myself I bought it from a guy in LA. I bought the car to drive and have something a little unique at the same time. Here is his build thread over on another forum.

I took a bunch of pictures as I was quite proud of my girl.

    Here is the full album.

After a few months of driving I had a minor incident with my car.

A few months later and lots of work done

Once we made sure that the motor and most of the electrical is in a working order I thought I needed some extra safety.

As of a few days ago I brought the car home from the shop. Cleaning out the interior more and prepping it for paint. I was moving the car just a few miles and thought... what the hell most of the car is together and it is drivable so lets drive it!

Now once the weather cooperates I will move it to the paint shop and be a happy camper!
Working...
