1) Too little clearance between steering shaft and exhaust manifolds.
2) DME is missing speed signal.

Have you tested the mpg on a measured distance of road and litres of fuel?
The cluster might be wrong..Leave a comment:

Changed temp sensor, plugs, lambdas and still...
Still have less then 10mpg permanent, city or highway or track, I have changed everything possible , no error codes , engine runs like a charm. No raw fuel smell from exhaust. Could not find any leaks. Temp sensors function live data is ok. If A GT1 could not diagnose this lump who can?Any advise will be much appreciated

It was an amazing event
. Whole day was raining some times beyond reason :) . But the car handled amazingly, despite the weather conditions the touring was glued like crazy to the track :) . Tires used were a pair of brand new Dunlop Sport 235/45/17 rears, couldnt find good tires for the front which were some semi-shot 205/45/17.
My first time ever on a proper race track (there arent any race tracks in Bulgaria). Found out that "normal" lateral G's make me really sick, need to find some help on that :)
Only a couple points to address in regards to the car:
1. My steering was locking badly on right turns, need to replace.
2. Still there is a limp mode present when 2nd or 3rd gear goes beyond 6500rpm, after that limiter goes down to 5500rpm and that stays until engine restart ???

My first ever track experience, little slow and unsure but will improve on that next season.
My buddy driving,

some M42
My friend was repeating its not fair its no fair I have a Brake bias Valve ...
Easiest way to make someone happy :) , is to give a M60 in to the hands of a M42 owner :)Leave a comment:

Few things to fix the economy :)
74ah Battery
Bosh universal O2 sensors, sprak plugs, new air filter

Little work is required but compared to the triple price of the OEM

The result of changing the "working" O2 sensors and the new spark plugs is amazing :). Engine revs like mad, no hesitation whatsoever in the throttle department :D .
On a side note. Please visit and check your oil pump bolts -> http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...80#post3434980

Thanks,
No bad codes, temp sensors are in range. I believe that the battery might be the one to blame. When that consumption was recorded I was forced to recharge it several times (taken off the car), and always once warm to floor it. Now I have a brand new battery installed, I was told that first 20-30km the ECU is self-teaching itself therefore gentle driving is advised :). My first trip about 300~km gave a 12.3l/100km mixed economy.Leave a comment:

Hold your gas-foot higher ;)
I'm doing 12..13 l /100km on highway, in city 15..17 depending on how much I floor it.
25l/100 is way too much, read your error codes etc.. Lambdas or temp. sensors are the first ones to check.Leave a comment:

Today I got 9,5mpg which is about 25l/100km city driving. That made me feel stupid at the pump ;( . Any one any ideas??? There are no errors on the ECU.Leave a comment:

Now came time to think about the correct tacho, for both schematics a 4cyl plug is needed :)

both will work to devide the revs /2 , I have tested the second one works well. Now I am updating the schematics for a proper fabrication :)Leave a comment:

Is it usual when left on limiter while on neutral? I used to have that problem with the M52B28, when the diff speed connector was rusted. I will have a look again hope that will sort it out. Need a pointer on how to squeeze the original air-box in there? The original E38 one is way bigger, not just the bottom part, but the top as well? Thanks.Leave a comment:
