Suitable OEM airbox for the M60/62 swap.

Hi guys,

I have been trying/researching this for a while cant seem to understand which OEM airbox fits best (after a trim of course).
Tried E38,E34 they both are humongous, even the top part is huge. Somewhere did read that the E31 fits without modifications, but all related to E31 around here is insanely expensive :( .I hate to see that cone filter just hanging there :(. And the original look is always preferable. Thanks.

The e32/4 fits with a few mods pretty well. You need to cut off the bottom of the tube on the underside and shorten the MAF tube.

Do you have any pictures? I have tried to figure it out for a while, E34 and E38 boxes seem identical.

I could have sworn I had better pictures but I can't find them.



Here's the e32 box just sitting there, the hood wouldn't shut so I left it off.



And here it is with the shortened maf tube.



I don't have any of what I did to the bottom of the box, it shouldn't be hard to figure out once you have it in there though.
