It's a lot of work but the end result is worth it. You'll be seriously disappointed with anything less than an S52 in an e30. I've driven and done quite a few swaps and the V8 is my favorite. There is nothing like cruising around town in 3rd or 4th gear and just letting the low end grunt move the thing around effortlessly. It sounds better, launches harder and just looks at home in the engine bay of an E30. Keep at it. You'll have a swap only a handful of people in the country have done!Leave a comment:

So you want more power in your E30? Well then an M6x engine is definitely a great way of giving your E30 some more punch. The engines are cheap, the mounts are made available by Garagistic, the weight penalty is minimal, and the fun is endless. This guide is extremely detailed! It gets down into the details, part numbeLeave a comment:

Not worth the effort?
That's an odd reason to swap. Getting M60 power out of an M50 or even S52 isn't exactly easy either.Leave a comment:

well spent a lot of today researching and sounds like the work involved in this would not be worth it in my opinion so a big never mind to this.Leave a comment:

I will find out milage and when i am purchasing it within the next couple days but sounds like a great deal to me.

not much free time today so heres some pictures of things ive done the past few days. the cleaned and painted booster

intake removed

a bunch of oil in my intake.....

got this also it should help a little cleaning things up got to love harbor freight :)

i need some opinions im not sure if anyone has ever done this but i know this machine shop the next town over that would be willing to work on this motor of mine but has anyone ever just replaced the linings with some sort of sleeves if that is even possible. Or would that probably not even be worth the money and to just find a different block this is if i even need to do something about mine in the first place.Leave a comment:
