Take the intake manifold off, replace all the gaskets at the very least, also valve cover gaskets. These are a MUST.

Well lads I've been slack but only with the updates. Been chipping away at the swap though.

My engine mounts came today, there from gargatistic I recommend them highly in terms of build quality a cost effectiveness.

Now I've hit somewhat of a hurdle, the gearbox (5 speed M out of a 530i is almost near impossible to find) so I've come up with ingenious plan of cutting and welding the auto bell housing to my manual getrag like so.

The 530i I bought as a donor, it's had the 4.0L conversion for those playing at home. The tear down begins.







We ended up getting the entire front clip off, so tomorrow il start disconnecting the ancillaries and il pull the engine hoping to have the engine in the e30 and running by march.
