so i have been looking around the forum for a few days i picked up a 87 325e and it has not been running right since i bought it. I think it might have a bad valve so Im thinking i might throw a 5.0 in it. This car is going to be a track beater and that is it for the sake of simplicity i might do carbs or figure out enough of the wiring to get it running and do my own cluster since that is dead in my car anyway. I have some decent fab skills but will probably buy the motor mounts and oil pan from e30v8.com i have mounds of nissan parts laying around that i can fit to help. i was thinking a mishimoto 3 core 240sx radiator i know that will keep the 5.0 cool pusher electric fans and a custom exhaust i have sourced a 5.0 out of a 88 f150 with the harness and good compression.I will be picking up a t5 trans from my boss this week with the lack of 5.0 swap parts up for sale here and elsewhere Im guessing people that have done it love this swap.

Funfgan set his exhaust to dump forward of the front wheels; surprisingly, it's not that loud going down the road (even when you're not in the car). Maybe because there's only 2.5L of American fury venting in each direction?
Also, you'll want to go to massivebrakes.com and pick up a booster delete... unless you want to place the booster in front of the drivers' strut tower.

I still don't know how I'm doing the exhaust. Being that I'm running historic plates on a v8 swapped car, I want as little attention as possible. All I know right now is that my shorty headers are facing forward, and I have a ton of 3 inch mandrel bent piping and straights laying around. Where there is a will, there's a way.
I want this to sound suspicious, but keep people questioning what's under the hood.No E30 ClubOriginally posted by MrBurgundyAnyways, mustangs are gay and mini vans are faster than your car, you just have to deal with that.

Yes. The problem isn't the exhaust manifolds, it's the drivers' side head/valve cover that gets in the way of the stock booster. Now, I have seen people use teeny, TEENY little boosters off of geo metros and the like... but I really can't see those things providing that much assistance.
Then again, my car isn't done yet, so I can't really provide any real input as to how the booster delete kit works out. Funfgan seems to like his though and he didn't seem to have any problems stopping when he took me out for a ride.

Currently I'm running a piece of 1/4 inch steel plate as an adapter to mount the master directly to the firewall while I wait for the Massive kit to come in. Even with the stock ratio it is manageable. No E30 ClubOriginally posted by MrBurgundyAnyways, mustangs are gay and mini vans are faster than your car, you just have to deal with that.
