Well, got my oil filter plate today. It's not the most beautiful thing on earth, but will make the oil lines soooo much easier....

You won't be able to use the stock computer, as the control strategy is different. By standalone, I mean I'm using a programmable (VEMS) computer, that's why I am doing a new wiring harness

you also make this engine on stock m60 ecu, yes?
what do you mean by standalone computer?

Sooooo, I had a bit of time today and I started with the engine bay wiring.

Ignore the green zipties, they're there only to keep the wiring in place (for now) Once I start the engine, the heat will shrink the wiring heatshrink and keep everything tidy and in place :D
Oh, and that expansion tank is NOT gonna be there. Just wanted to give it a try, but it looks totally out of place in that engine bay right now....

It'll be a week or so until the next update. Race season is ON!! :D :D
My plan was starting/finishing the fuel and water lines, but I guess I can start with the steering.

Yup, shaft goes between the primaries. That was the only way to make it fit.... Let me check if I have some pics

Do you have any pics of the headers before you wrapped them? Does the steering shaft go down in between the primaries?

    Top work.
What are you using to paint the engine etc?

Well, I highly doubt the stacks will fit.... I'm having another ones 3D printed, much shorter (and the finish is just like the valve covers, which is a plus), and we'll see how they fit.
As for the air filters... meh, overrated. I guess I'll keep those stacks for one of the S38s I got sitting here :D

Dude your car/build/engine/everything is clean as fuck. Super jelly of the velocity stacks.

I'm surprised at how low the engine sits in the bay. Are you gonna have any room for some kind of air cleaner on top of those stacks? I imagine it's gonna be pretty close to the hood.
