It's the same design for all of the pans. A few of them run them on competition cars without a dry sump. So I assume it works quite well.

    Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

And they are 3" shafts. It's hard to give real accurate numbers on the power they can support, but steel is around 900hp and aluminum is around 600hp. It's all relative to what the car's used for though. For example drag racing is more abusive on the shaft given the hard launches. Where as in drifting we have drivers run 600ish hp season after season with an aluminum drive shaft and never have issues.

So is the oil pan feed and return tapped for JIC or AN fittings? Hoes that setup work? Require a remote filter?

The kits include the needed lines, fittings, remote filter block, and filter for install. You run the lines from the OUT on the oil pan to the IN on filter block, then from the OUT on the filter block to the IN on the oil pan (makes a full cycle). All this information will be included in the install instructions.

I understand that, I'm asking if the pan is tapped? I won't be buying the kit, I'm building my own I was just curious as to how they do it. I should start building these kits.....be a nice amount of side income for what they sell at...

Yes it's tapped. All of that is included with the kit.

yeah, 3" alloy is a bit worrying. Not for a largely stock swap, but for anything serious like a cammed ls2 or ls3, start pushing its limits, especially if it's shown a bit of revs.

Won't be strong enough for mine, so might just look at their pans when they open everything up for sale.
Just a little project im working on

Why not go with the steel one then?
