Someone just recently told me that you can run an m52 clutch with the e34 trans on the m60. can anyone confirm this?

What i used to run was 540i Flywheel mated to 530i clutch disc and m52 stage 3 pressure plate
unless you use the lightweight flywheel then you can change the disc too cause the oem flywheel has the lip around the inner bolt holesComment

paid for my trans, should have it in a week or two! been searching around, but I seem to be finding conflicting information. Anyone know what trans I need to use with the 530i trans and e30 diff? I heard e36 328?Comment

Did you mean to say what driveshaft? if i remember correctly i got the e36 m3 4-bolt driveshaft it should bolt on just like m5x/s5x swap you probably just have to change the center support bearing also i heard the e30 m3 driveshaft is the same length and should fit if you happen to find that firstComment

yea i meant driveshaft thanks. according to franks swap guide, i should be able to use my stock one. I just pulled out an m50 swap and that was the same shaft as well.
got my trans yesterday, need to get the clutch for release arm, slave cylinder, and throw out bearing.
also, i ordered new coilovers and the garagistic arms, those should be here soon.Comment

just noticed that i posted pics of my stupid mistake I made. call it lack of sleep, scatter brain, or just a dumb mistake, i put the front coilovers on the wrong side on accident at first (Shown in pic) and the lower ball joints were in the spot on the knuckle for the tie rod. swapped them around immediately, but apparently that is when i snapped the pics. e46 lower control arms are a good bit longer, giving the car a wider track up front, more camber, and also more caster. Not really something you would want to do to a street car or grip racing, but desirable for drifting.
the coilovers are Megan Eurospec with 6" 10k springs up front and 8k in the rear. As for installing them, pretty simple... just cut your strut tube off of the knuckle leaving 2 inches for the new coilover to slip over it, than weld it.Comment

Apparently you need a late e39 540i flywheel (97-03 M62 240mm) and any B28 clutch kit (e36, e39, z3 2.8 ) I decided to be the guinea pig and bought the Fx racing ebay clutch for an e36 328i. Im pairing it with a JB aluminum e39 flywheel.
good lucksigpic'89 325i
