    More wiring problems.

Hello all troubleshooting my swap and came across some problems. I was going through checks and realized that the windows dont work. Checked to see if the breaker was popped it wasnt so them I checked the green/blue wire on the breaker which should be hot. It wasnt. So then I was like WTF when to check the fuses #17 was still good. Tested it for switched power and got nothing.

My next thought process was to check all the fuses the results are:
    Always hot:
#21 radio interior lights clock etc
    #22 parking lights
    #23 more lights
    #24 hazard lights
    #27 radio/antenna
    #28 Cigar lighter

    Switched Power 1 click:
    #4 glove box light
    #5 wipers
    #6 ABS
    #12 lights, speedo, clock

    Switched power 2 clicks:
    #8 Rear defogger
    #9 diagnosis connector

At this point everything should have power yet the following do not
    #1 headlights
    #2 Headlights
    #3 Aux fan
    #7 horn
    #13 headlight
    #14 Headlights
    #16 heated seats
    #17 Windows
    #19 fans
    #20 Blower
    #29 & 30 fogs (which I dont have)

I checked all of these things and none worked with the exception of the headlights which operated normally.

Relays K5 K6 K7 all have hot power at pin 30 other than that they appear to not clicking over (all 3). Im thinking that maybe they are not grounded correctly but not sure how they are even grounded. The unloader system is rather confusing to me.

Im really at a loss here, not sure where to go next. Dont know if I didnt wire something correctly or what. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Edit: so after lots or reading Im pretty sure that in c101 Pin 15 is suppose to be grounded but pretty sure I didnt do that. This provides the ground for the unloader circut so the during cranking it redirects all power to the starter. By having it permanently gounded all of my accessories (heater, windows etc) will be hot when the car is cranking.

I had the same problem. Turns out that is was cause pin #15 and #18 needed to be hooked up to starter, and yes one is a ground out.

The unloader relays are grounded through the starter.

As i understand it they can be grounded anywhere tho since I'm using the LS starter which is not designed the same as the bmw one and I'm essentially by passing the unloaded system.

Ok guys onto my next problem. How do I get the tach to work? Its wired through c101 pin 9 since my car is a late model. So I think that the GM pcm needs to be flashed for a new output but dont know exactly what. Also what coding pulg do I need in the cluster?

You need a coding plug from a 4cyl for your cluster to make the tach work/read properly. There isn't anything to do on the PCM side because GM only uses 4 cylinders to pick up the tach signal apparently. I would have to check my binder at home of all connections to confirm pin 9 on the c101, but I know it does go through that plug.

Also, yes the unloaders can be bypassed by simply grounding them out, one of my projects for tonight actually. I made alternate circuits to run the car with custom wiring/relays, so I never worried about it until now. Now want my blower motor haha.

well shoot...my doesnt work. The donor car is a 92 318 so I already have the 4 cylinder coding plug.

Sorry about the late response, did you ever get this to work? Mine is wired from GM C105 Pin G to BMW C101 Pin 9. All I did was this connection and the 4 cyl coding plug and haven't had an issue.

Yeah It works great now. When I said it wasnt working earlier it because I was cranking to prime the oil pump and not fully turning it over.
