Modifying the shifter for a 5 speed

I finally got to work on my car after some time. I have a five speed in my conversion since I have the M60b30 motor. In my set up I need to extend the shifter support and the shifter rod. Anyways I extend the support by 3/4 of an inch and the shifter by 1 1/2. The problem I have is that I can no longer get reverse. I have all the gears except reverse. It seems like I got something wrong in my measurements. Anyone else with a 5 speed set up ?

Modifying the shifter for a 5 speed

Forgot to Update my reverse issue. The problem was the rear carrier bushing. It was almost out of it place causing it to move. This cause way too much flex for the shifter rod to engage reverse. Lesson learned always double check everything before you jack down the car.
