So as the title says I was installing the head gaskets on my m62 this weekend and had to rotate the cams a hair. while rotating them the lobes pushed down the lifter, causing oil so seep out, down the oil galley and onto the new head gasket. I didnt notice until it was torqued down that some oil was squished out the side where the head meets the block....:(
So my question is should I spend the 150$ on a new head gasket and bolts or is it not a big deal?
the oil only got between the oil galley and the end of the gasket, not into the cylinder or coolant passage. im thinking worst case scenario is it will cause a premature oil leak?
