e30 aluminum to plasic bumper swap

I have been doing research everywhere and i need some solid info on the aluminum to plastic bumper swap.

i have an 89' 325i cabrio. it does have aluminum bumpers on and i need to know if it is easy for my model car to do the bumper swap.

    PLEASE HELP ME OUT HERE!
I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.

Generally the hardest thing about a bumper swap (for a pre '88 model) is correctly cutting and trimming the rear plastic bumper so that it will fit properly. However, the cabrio models do not have this problem-the plastic bumper fits just fine as long as you get all the associated mounting hardware.

          Cabby's shouldn't need the plastics cut I don't think.

If it's 88+ coupe it shouldn't either. Just a matter of swapping the struts, side tabs and bumpers.

The front is a straight swap on 88+ cars.

Reas you need the pb bumper shocks and side plastic pieces (the ones that are under the front ends)

Front is direct bolt on fit. Rear requires slight mods. The bumpers will not have to be cut and shortened. Mounting holes for the plastic bumper shocks will have to be slotted upward approximately 1/2". Side plastic bumper sliders can not be used, as the side of the bumpers will be bolted directly to the sheet metal. Bolts will be under the black trim and accessible using existing hole. Nut will be inside rear fender well. All the body holes from the aluminum bumper trim will need to be filled with RTV or any other good sealing product. The top leading edge of the bumper can be trimmed with a Dremel tool to match the body contour at the fender flares.
