I have a 1987 that all of a sudden started running hot when stopped. I traced it to a non running aux fan, and when I jumped the wires at the radiator switch it came to life but it was quite noisy.
I ordered a new fan from ECS, and swapped it and then found the #3 fuse to be blown. I replaced the fuse thinking that the old fan bearings were causing high amp draw and the fuse blew up in a second after turning the car on.
I am not very good with electrical systems, and I assume this is caused by a short somewhere. Can anyway help me or point me in the right direction in order to figure this out? I have a test light and also a voltmeter.
Thank you.
