Looking for a little guidance here, my wife and I did a 885 head swap on her 86 325e. Her car factory had the round c101 plug, so we did not rewire anything when we did the swap, the head and harness came off a 89 325i and the dme is out of a 91 325i convertible. I did the wiring modification with the C104 plug as needed. I did clip pin 20 on the harness for the abs, now with the dme plugged in and the battery connected and no keys in the ignition, the brake lining light is on and the sunroof has constant power, with the ignition on, the oil pressure switch wire registers 12 bolts same as the iac valve. Also with the key on the sunroof does not have power. Now disclaimer I do not have the oxygen plugged in nor the mass air flow sensor, but that doesn’t matter because it doesn’t crank or start. Starter has power and pin 18 has constant power with key on. Any help would be much appreciated.
Update: i am using the 325e starter and put both positives from the harness on the one and only positive starter post, I did remove the smaller 12 volt starter wire and now the brake lining light does not stay on even with key off, however the sunroof switch does not have power at all now, where as before it had power with key off but not on. Also the iac valve ran continuously with key on, so Just I’m trying things I swapped out the 3 relays on the harness with the relays from my old harness, now the iac has stopped but I still have a constant 12 bolt signal going to the oil pressure sensor. Again any insight would be great!
