    E90 question

I know this is an e30 forum but I know a lot of you guys have knowledge of other bmws also.

passenger side rear floorboard keeps filling with water. I cleared the sunroof drain. It drains as it should. I cleaned out the under hood vents. I don’t have an air compressor so I couldn’t blow high pressure air in so it may still be that. But the floor board keeps filling with water QUICKLY and idk what it could be. It’s coming from underneath the floorboard carpet it seems cause the side of the carpets are still dry. Ideas?

On the E30s the HVAC box has three drains with rubber tubes that connect the box to the floorboards so the box drains under the car. Those tubes crack over time and the water tends to leak under the carpet when they go bad.

The other area to check are the rocker drains. If they clog with road debris that can get the carpet wet.

When you cleared the sunroof drains, did you pour some water to ensure its draining to through the rockers?

Finally, with the E30s, the cowl vent area clogs and that can cause wet carpet, typically higher up in the foot well.
