    Fuel Filter

    OK so i boguht a new fuel filter and go to put it in....

    My Bentley says its in front of the gas tank on the left, the fuel pump is there also correct?

    I feel like an idiot because i cant find anything that looks like the fuel filter.. is this it?

        Ok... either way, I would guess in the engine bay, or that black thing.

            Yeah, it's kinda under the brake master cylinder.

            The hose clamps holding it onto the car are kind of a pain to work with, just make sure you get it all back on right.

              Well I'll be damned,

              I fished out an old ass "Chilton" brand service manual of e30's ( it was horrible) and it says it is located underneath my airbox near the U-joint....Bingo.

              Haha the 10 dollar book was way more helpful than the what, 50 $ one? :roll:

                Yeah, the eta ones are in the engine bay as said. My dumb ass spent about 30 minutes looking for it once..

                    Fuel Accumulator.

                    It is supposed to smooth the pulses of pressure in the fuel lines from the operation of the pump.

                    BMW decided it does nothing and its no longer used. Most people bypass it and remove it.
