The heater hoses that come into/out of the firewall. Just want to know how much time I should expect to set aside for this, because the schedule is tight. Thanks.

if your talking about the rubber ones, then it shouldnt take THAT long. I just did an engine swap on a 325e and the two hardest parts were getting them off the first time (the clamps were all rusty) and putting them on. I never took the top one off the engine, but I did take the bottom one completely off because it connects to the engine right near the rear engine lifting point. I would say it would take an actual half hour to get the hoses in place and clamped, but you also gotta drain the system, remove the other hoses and then fill the system back up. Which makes me think it would take about 2 hours. Now assuming stuff is gonna go wrong, you prolly wanna leave yourself a good 4 hours to do it. That will leave you about 3 hour's buffer time from what it should really take, which is probably about what you need to do it right. :)
Just make sure to have a long screwdriver and a hook. I used a metal hook used to hang plants that are in hanging pots. I used it to pull the lower hose onto the engine (near the rear lifting point). Once you get the hoses on the engine its easy and only takes about 5 minutes...everything else is the hard/time consuming part. Good luck.
