    Installation of rear quarter windows?

I have fixed rear quarter windows(Do not pop out), and I removed the trim around them when I painted the car. It has now come to tim reinstall them, and I cannot for the life of me do it. They are held in place by what looks like a locking seal in the rubber.
Do I have to remove the window to install the trim? Or is there an easier way? The bentley was no help at all

Oh god! This is one of my least favorite components to work on.

You have the remove the window. :(

Once out, you'll want to pull the gasket from around the window and clean the gasket with alcohol and a rag, while its out. You can make an old gasket look great again with attention to detail.

To reinstall, have glass in gasket and install trim by applying pressure and rolling/prying the gasket. soapy water also helps with trim installation.
Once together as entire assembly, then it is time to reinstall into car. Also, the vent trim that follows behind the window should be installed before window goes it. It makes it slightly easier with the gasket shaped the way it is. I installed one after the window went in and had to lay a string first so i could pull the gasket lip out into place after that vent trim went on.

Installing the window into the car is by far the hardest part and should require two people.
First, make sure that the roof liner is glued into place. It will make it that much easier to deal with when pulling the string.
.....trying to remember where i started.... ok... it was a matter of hit and miss when it came to which way to pull the string, but was obvious that the lower rear corner had to be inserted first.
Lay the string across the top and front, down the B-pillar gasket.
Install the window starting at the rear where its the largest lip and tightest corner. This would be impossible to do any other time. You will want a couple inches of the lip started up the C-pillar.
Then move your way forward along the bottom, angling the window into place and working the rubber over the ledge.
Lower B-pillar corner comes first and then you can start using the string to help while working your way up the B.
Next is the top corner of the B.
And last, work the string from both ends, i forget exactly where its easiest to end up but along the way, you'll find that its important to pay attention to the lip and interior as they interact.
The help from a friend is that he/she will be applying pressure from outside while you work the gasket lip.

By the time both windows were finished, i had sore fingers, covered in sweat, and relieved like no body's business. you'll want to crack open a few beers after its finished!

I recall reading a couple other threads around here about other's detailed instructions but am not able to find currently. Here was my other post about the process.
