    Where to find seat heaters??

I tried searching for this, but none of the posts that came up seem to tackle exactly what i'm looking for.

I would like to install seat heaters in my 1990 325is, and would like to know where I could find these. I think you can get them through the dealer, but its quite expensive I believe. So are there any other places to find these things?

yea, i just did this in my re-upholstering job, ill post pics soon, i actually had the elements in my old seats and rob transfered them into my new sport seats. the element can be found in ix's, cabrios, and some m3's, or any other car as an option, you need to search, i believe you can buy just the elements from the dealer, but i really dont know much about that. there also is a bunch of wiring, relays and switches you'll need to wire it up properly, which cost me another $50 in used parts. good luck man, im here to help if you need it.

thanks dan, i guess i'll be hitting the junk yards in search of this stuff. i guess if all else fails i'll purchase them from the dealer and break the bank.

You can get universal seat heaters off ebay for about $80 per seat.

For some reason I don't trust a product called a "universal seat heater."

unfortunately, my car is an 'is' and doesn't have the damn things. i figured it would be a lot easier to get oem stuff as then all the wiring would match comared to some universal aftermarket ones.
