    E30 Rear Window No Power

I'm trying to work on my LR power window. I've removed the center console, carpeting, driver's seat and side panel (where the seat belt is) and have been tracking the wire from the center switch back. I know I get power to the junction at the seatbelt, but I don't get any power to the switch as it doesn't light up. I've tried other switches so I know its not just a bad switch.

I don't have a good diagram on the wiring in the door, is there another junction? Or does it flow straight from the seatbelt connection area to the motor? Just not sure where I would be losing power? If its a bad motor would that cause the switch not to light up? I wouldn't think so.

Also the power lock there doesn't work either. So I'm thinking somewhere my connection is bad... Any clues before I dig into the door panel tonight would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Sometimes the wires in the rubber boot between the jamb and door get fatigued and you get a short.
The difference between porcupines and BMWs is that porcupines have the pricks on the outside!
