    Modern BMW Telemetry?

There's this young mechanic at work who likes euro's. He was telling some guys about the new M5 and M6's. I just stood by and listened, mostly because I dont actually know much about the new ones. Anyway, he said that if the DME gets a hard fault, it "emails" the dealership that services the car and alerts them so they can call the owner and get him to bring the car in for service.

Is this true? Kinda cool if it is.

Yes it's true, and even more. There is talk about having the cars up-linked monitored and adjusted constantly from a central computer system.
I'm Not Right in the Head | Random Rants and other Nonsense1st Order Logic Failure: Association fallacy, this type of fallacy can be expressed as (∃xS : φ(x)) → (∀xS : φ(x)), meaning "if there exists any x in the set S so that a property φ is true for x, then for all x in S the property φ must be true".
