    M30 AFM

I was thinking about doing an M30 AFM swap, so I went to read Dave Length's article on his swap. I was just wondering is it necessary to modify the fuel system to the extent that he did, or can I just swap the AFM and call it a day?

just swap it in with m20 electronics, stretch the m20 boot intake boot over it, and buy a fitting cone filter, or modify the stock box.

to get anything from this swap, you reall should buy 19# injectors. they are all you need (besides new o-rings of course), no adj fuel pressure regulator or whatever, just plug and play the larger injectors.

Search with my username and find a lot of shit:

Yeah I figured I would need bigger injectors, but wasn't sure about the other stuff, thanks. Also, is this an M30 AFM? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ayphotohosting I know it says its one, but it looks different to me, I dunno.

I just installed a M30 AFM on my car today.

Took a few hours to do the surgery required to take the electonics outo f the M20 AFM. I little more tricky than I thought it would be.

But I got it on, tested it and it works great. Tomorrow I am mounting some brackets to hold it and making some piping to connect it to the stock boot.

to continue offtopic, its a Johnny Bravo Chick Magnet from a box of Pop Tarts.

My friends and I rocked it on our cars at the SCCA Cen Div championships in 2002, and every since we have been Team Chick Magnet Racing. Its on all our cars, as is Johnny Bravo. Gets great looks at the national AutoX's.

                    back to on topic.

Are those the injectors I need? I didn't realize 6 injectors new were $200+ So I guess i'll get those if they're correct. Better buying 8 for $30 than 6 for $200.

Just out of curiosity... why exactly do you need bigger injectors?

Do M30 AFMs really let in that much more air?

But could I use those Mustang ones? $30-$60 doesn't sound like a big difference, but it is when you have no job.

So what if I put in 19 lb injectors without a M30 afm?

Because I am getting some for free from a friend who put 42 lb injectors in his Mustang.
