    Terrible Idle.

For a while now my car has been idleing like it has a crazy cam in it. I pulled the AFM out and cleaned it, reinstalled it and then it ran perfect for a few weeks. Last week it started doing the same thing and now it will stall after I start it sometimes. Its getting to be a big annoyance and I would like it fixed. Does this sound like the AFM?

That could be any of a number of things, but the first thing to do would be to eliminate any possibility of intake leaks. Then verify proper fuel pressure and delivery.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I'm almost positive I have gotten all the intake leaks taken care of and I am getting plenty of fuel because I can smell it. Would a bad AFM make it run rich?

so it is missing at idle and you can smell fuel in the exhaust? Is it when the engine is cold or warm that you have a problem? if it is running rich and idling badly when warm your coolant temp sensor could be bad, a bad afm could cause this too i suppose

The engine runs smoothly at speeds other than idle right?

OK, I took a better look at the intake boot and pulled it off. Thats definitely the problem. I just used some electrical tape and sealed it good, reinstalled and its good to go (temporarily). Now I just need to buy a new boot.
