fluctuating idle

83-320i.. idle fluctuates when at standstill in traffick. this only happens when the ACU is on. but as soon as i turn off the ACU, the idle goes back to normal, at 800rpm. anybody else experience this?

yeah, one-of-a-kind-problem.. i cant even tell if this is an engine or AC problem. it doesnt happen all the time, just sometimes.
