wont start help please

hey everyone so my 87' 325i vert wont start

yesterday it was driving perfectly and the i parked it at home went in for about an hour and had to run out to get something.. i pull up about 30 feet and it dies..
i try to start it up again and nothing, idk what it is
can someone help me please?

When you say "and nothing" what do you mean?? You turn the key and the starter does not turn? Or does it crank but it won't start?

it would crank but it wouldnt start.. i did i a couple of more times today and it started i let it run for a bit then took her for a drive.. works great now

i was about to say maybe the timing belt snapped but i'm glad it started and it's running now. It's prolly not the best of ideas to keep on cranking and cranking when it doesn't want to fire.

yea i only did it a couple of times then gave up... then im like one last time for today!
& my baby fired up :)

I would bet you have something wrong in there. Break out the Bentley and start testing systems and see what you get. Problems don't just go away, they just get worse. Your car is talking to you, it's probably a good idea to listen. :)
