    Guage Cluster Ground Nut

Where can I find the guage cluster ground nut? My water temp and fuel guage are all screwy when the car is cold, but fine when it warms up. And this morning my tachometer went on strike. Do I have to remove the guage cluster or can I reach it from the bottom? I don't want to do more work than I need to, I have midterms, and need to study ;) .

I dont think your problem is the ground nuts, if it was, the gauges would be wack with the car warm or cold.

To get to them anyway, you do need to remove the cluster

Well, I'm going to attack it first. There is no way that the all three sensors died at once. If it doesn't fix the problem then I'll worry about other things.

Well, I just pulled out the cluster out, and I found no ground nuts  . Could my cluster be fucked up? Also, things aren't looking good. Some butcher removed the cluster before me and broke left clamp and lost half the screws.

If the cluster is dead (MotoMeter) can it be swapped for a VDO cluster? I have an extra in the parts car, and everythings works.

There are two ground nuts, right? On either side (left of blue connector and right of red connector) The bolts were there but no nuts. Or am I mistaken?

            Take the cover off first.

replace your SI board or just the batteries on your existing SI board. My cluster had the same symptoms and after i changed the batteries it fixed everything.

Sound's like that's what I'm going to do. Had to put the cluster back in, the speedo works and can't get any tickets.
