removing console around HVAC and stereo

how do i remove the center plastic console that surrounds the HVAC controls and stereo? i need to replace my headunit. wiring and installation isnt a problem, just how to get the plastic console out.

shouldnt need to do that to replace stereo...

pop out all the little plastic covers where the hazard/defrost switches are. There will be some phillips screws up at an angle there to remove.
Then there are some tiny 8mm nuts going up vertically from the storage tray area on the left and right.

Pull off the hvac control knobs
OBC might hold it in still... but i cant recall removal of that off-hand

The OBC is held in by 4 screws on the back of it. It will pull out with the panel and you can just unplug it.
