    Alternator Squeaking

Hey, I've found out the source of my squeaking under the hood.

It's noticeable whenever the car is running, and even more noticeable when it rains and water is on it.

I'm assuming both my belt and the pulley are shot and I need to replace them?

I remember finding a pulley at BMA, but I can no longer find it.

    Please help me out.

    Thanks!

Why would you need to replace the pulley? How is the bushing? You probably just need to get a new belt and tighten it.

I have never really heard of anyone replacing a pulley unless it was bent or something.

      Change the belt and tighten.

      Sold it.

My dad insisted that it was the pulley.

If I'm not mistaken, the pulley is the part in which the belt moves upon?

          just replace the belt.
no need to replace the pulley.

Get some water and spray it on it the belt, if the noise goes away, u need a new belt.
