WTF is this connector?

I found this connector dangling behind my bumper, just in front of the driver's side steering wheel:

Around the time I noticed this, my car started developing an overheating issue. Could this connector be the culprit, or somehow related?

That would be your fog light wires. No culprit there, lol.

I don't have the car with me, but I think I tested the fog lights a couple weeks back and they were both working...
