    need some help :(

    e30 questions
anyone replaced the rear subframe mounts on one before? i read the bently and haynes but didnt see it in there after searching online, i read that im going to need a propane torch , slide hammer and hydraulic press and some other things, is this right? or is it alot easier than it sounds?

and why cant i get my steering wheel off did it exactly as the bentley book said but it wont come off , i need to replace my dimmer/directionals but cant get the steering wheel off, im guessing i need to use a puller?

and my tachometer/mpg guage underneath it/radio/interior lights all didnt come on last time i started it, but i havnet messed with any wiring,

    but
when i took the interior light out of the socket in the trunk to put in a new bulb,
when i was sliding it back in, a piece of the metal on the light assembly touched the metal of the trunk and had a small spark. im thinking that caused it, but i checked all the fuses underneath the hood right beside the driverside windsheild but they all came out good?

    im so lost

About the tach.....did you check your fuses. that happened to me when I first bought my car

I, too, just recently posted about replacing subframe bushings. A few people said that yesm they had done it and it really wasnt that difficult. There is no article in the bentley that describes how to do it, although they do say that when removing the trailing arms (which you must do to get the subframe free) you have to disconnect, drain,a ndplug the brake lines and diconnect the rear axles. If you feel confident doing all that yourself all you should need is a powerful blow torch or something else to get the mounts off.

If you have a mechanic friend, I reccommend having him/her do it for you.....that's what I'm doing, and just hepling out here and there.
