Easy Question For Those With Late Modlel Bumpers

    Hey guys!

Replacing my late model bumpers today. Front one, cake. undid the 2 bolts and the dropped right out and the bumper slid off. The back, different story...

So tried to undo the 2 bolts on the bottom, with no luck. Ended up with 2 bolts stripped to sh*t. Well since my old bumper was trash anyway, i took the cover off, cut around the shock through the fiberglass to access the nut at the top of the bolt. Undid the nut, expected the bolt to slide right out. None such luck.

    MY QUESTION:

Is the sleeve on the rear shock, threaded?!? The front IS NOT.

    Thanks!

No it is not threaded it is just like the front. You have a bunch of rust in there and that is keeping the bolt in. Soak it in PB blaster and hit the bolt out as it is toast anyway. That nut should have been welded to the top of the bumper bracket!
The difference between porcupines and BMWs is that porcupines have the pricks on the outside!
