    84 e30

    i was driving and took a turn and tyhen things started to cut out. it was like the egine froze and wouldnt go past 2K. it was hesataiting before that, i have no idea what its doing. the lower end sounds like its knocking.... how expensive could this be?

    I am having the same problems with my 1990 325i. Yours is older and has a different fuel injection system than mine, but you may want to check out my thread. It could be a number of things. I think mine is leading to a fuel pump, fuel pump relay, DME, or DME relay. I'm not sure if it works the same way, but my CEL was throwing a coolant temp sensor code and EVERYONE was certain it was the culprit, so you may want to check that. Like I said, different injection systems, so I may not know what I am talking about, but may be worth looking into. Good luck!

      yea, it sucks. i got to leave it in south florida to get my mechanic to check it on monday but i have to go to orlando tonight (sunday). so hes going to see what the problem(s) but i started it and he said vales right away. =/ i have 250 now and maybe another 250 so hope its not expensive

          check your ECU i had similar problems with my ETA and it turned out to be my ECU lucky a buddy of mine had a ECU and from his old ETA and sold it to me for 20 bucks.
