For the past 2-3 days when I start my car, the orange check light begins to blink. When I look up at the check panel, the brake lights sensor is illuminated. I got my friend to stand behind the car and see if the lights were on or off when I applied the brakes. But, as soon as I touched the brake pedal, the check lights immediately turned off and my friend said the brake lights were on. Should I just blow this off or be worried?

That's how your car 'checks' your brakes. Mine is constantly on - so congrats on having one that works properly lol- skipping the E36 generation completely -
