instrument cluster , blower fan fuse keeps blowing out

the fuse on 12 on my 325 fuse box keeps blowing out my fuses and i measured the amperage and i get over 40 amps on a 7.5 rated circuit. any suggestions on what to check. help please!

Short or bad blower motor.

Fuse 12 feeds the radio, cluster, and OBC. If that circuit is drawing 40A there's a short.

Fuse 20 feed the HVAC blower and if it is blowing there's a short in the circuit or in the blower motor.

do u think its also the resistor board if not the blower

I suppose it could be the blower resistor, but usually a failure there just means the loss of some of the blower speeds.

i tried cleaning the resistor board and plug things up the fuse keeps blowing. the 20 fuse is not blown for the fan can it be the cluster or reverse light wiring?

I found out the problem the reverse wire was cut thru the insulation under the stick boot by the chassis so i taped upthe wire and chassis to prevent the shortage thanks guys for the input
