    Blower motor

Do to the E30 blower motor being a common problem, I was wondering if anyone has ever used one from another car. $200 for a new one is rather steep.

    Thanks,
    Nick

They run about $50 from a salvage yard for one in good condition.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Just blow the carbon dust out. it seems a lot of it will cause a current draw and might cause a fire

I checked my local salvage yard and they don't have one. I took mine apart and it was completely trashed inside. The magnet on one side of it is grooved.

take it apart, replace the brushes. clean it up and it should work fine. These all have the armature like almost all component accesories and nearly all the wear and tear is on the brushes. As long as the brushes isnt gone, and it isnt grinding against the armatuer you should be able to safe it.
